“In search of the Authentic Blue” is an ongoing research project investigating Iranair’s story by following its corporate “blue” color and the visual design used for the company, its catering services, printed matters, packaging, and gifts since its establishment. Amirali Ghasemi eagerly collected some of the items over the years. He tends to investigate why such color codes and identity were never sustained during the years while revealing various aspects on the subject, from turbulences in graphic design to management, partial privatization, and outsourcing of the national flag career in the light of economic hardship and an obsolete fleet of aircraft.
